Window replacement and wall ledge repair to the entire Health Sciences East Building, a 16-story tower on UCSF's Parnassus Campus. Exterior repair to each floor included high-performance painting, replacement of sheet metal flashing, providing new floor-to-ceiling glass and gaskets, applying solar and safety glazing film and breezeway modifications.
Scaffolding protective scrim was utilized to provide safety & fall protection for crew as well as for building occupants' sense of security. Because the building was fully occupied while under construction, scheduling and notifications had to be carefully coordinated with all department heads on each floor so both day and night work could continue seamlessly throughout the duration of the project.
