Seismic Renovation Work

Core and shell seismic retrofit to the 654 Minnesota Street building, a three-story 66,000 GSF structure which underwent conversion from a research and manufacturing facility to offices for UCSF and other commercial tenants.
Work included a new roof, glazing and waterproofing as well as EIFS and exterior cladding restoration. Seismic upgrades include new footings, shearwalls and structural steel brace framing. Also part of the project was new elevator installation, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and fire protection systems.
